Prabhu Solomon is back with Kumki after the blockbuster hit Mynaa.. Prior to release, Songs became  a huge hit and that added huge expectations to the movie… Supposed to be released for Diwali, but they took lot of time for CG works… What kind of movie Kumki is?? Met all the expectations??? Read the entire review and find out…

Story Analysis:

Bomman(Vikram Prabhu) , his uncle Thambi ramiah and Ashwin raja live together along with an elephant(Manickam). They make money by taking elephant to temple festivals, marriage functions etc.. Everything goes on fine till the fate make them to go inside forest to save village people from the wild elephants attack..

As usual inside the village, Bomman comes across Alli(Lakshmi Menon) and falls in love at sight.. Love force them to stay inside village for some more days. As days pass by, one fine day they face the wild elephant attack.. What happens to Bomman-Alli love, how manickam saves the village people form the wild elephant forms the climax..

Cast and Crew Analysis:

In-spite of being debut movie, Vikram just lived as Bomman in this movie.. He acted very well and dialogue delivery was perfect… Lakshmi menon played the female lead,, this movie is supposed to be her debut movie too.. But Sundarapandian released before Kumki.. Her acting was good… Thambi Ramiah and Boss Engira Baskaran fame Ashwin raja acted very well and they took care of the comedy… Apart from these, all others did their part well..

Awesome songs and BGM by Imman… Sukumar can be considered as the supporting hero of this movie,, his camera work was too good.. When most of the directors are trying to take a commercial movie with a famous hero and make money, hats-0ff to Prabhu Solomon for thinking something different/unique and coming out with an extraordinary/entertaining movie.. Hope he continues the same in future…

General Analysis:

First half was too good and entertaining… Second half dragged a lot.. And the climax was not convincing… But still, Kumki is a kind of movie which everyone should experience in a good theater without fail.. It’s our duty to encourage this kind of movies in Tamil Cinema..
